Professional biography
Dr Bell is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at The Christie. After graduating with honours from The Universities of St Andrews and Manchester, he trained in Surgery and Clinical Radiology before completing higher sub-specialty training in Interventional Radiology. In 2013, he completed a CIRSE Scholarship with Professor Martins Pisco in Lisbon on Prostate Artery Embolisation (PAE).
Dr Bell is a GMC and European Board certified Interventional Radiologist. Dr Bell is an internationally recognised expert in Interventional Oncology. He is formerly Training Programme Director for Clinical Radiology in the North West Deanery, member of the Faculty Board of The Royal College of Radiologists and Chair of the Patient Safety and Quality Committee of the British Society of Interventional Radiology.
He is currently a member of the NICE Interventional Procedures Advisory Committee and a Clinical Advisor on Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT) to NHS England. At The Christie, he is Procedure Team Lead, Charity Ambassador and Project Chair for CT redevelopment. Dr Bell is a member of The Christie Private Care Medical Advisory Committee.
